Menopause hit me like a wrecking ball at 47. A perfect storm of long work hours, stress, divorce and flat-out denial. I wasn’t doing many of the things I knew I should.

I felt fat, frumpy and overwhelmed. I looked middle-aged and moved like an old lady. I had about two outfits I felt OK in and avoided cameras like the plague.

My kids found my hot flushes hilarious – it was cardigans on, cardigans off, all day long. Like the hokey cokey, but far less fun. Wine o’clock became my coping strategy, followed by too many coffees the next morning just to function.

Eventually, I hit rock bottom. I decided to get my mindset, food and movement back on track – properly this time.

I ran a few tests to see what was happening under the bonnet and made small, consistent changes every day. Nothing extreme. No kale. No running club. Just real food and a plan that worked around family life.

I’ve tried everything. How do I know this will work for me?
